Rules and prohibitions From helmet to speed

 

To drive the scooter you must be at least 14 years old. A helmet is mandatory for the Under 18s. Scooters must be equipped with a bell. Animals cannot be driven or pulled by other vehicles. You cannot carry other people, objects, animals, or tow yourself. The Highway Code must be observed: stop at red, respect the one-way streets, facilitate the transit of emergency vehicles.

 

If present, cycle paths are to be preferred. The maximum speed allowed, in the absence of cycle paths, is 25km. It is forbidden to drive on urban roads with a speed limit greater than 50km. It is forbidden to circulate on preferential roads, under the arcades, and on the sidewalks. In pedestrian areas, the limit is 6km.

 

The use of the mobile phone is allowed only with a headset, provided that the use of both hands is free. Finally, for transit at night, a reflective safety vest and front and rear lighting are required.
