Reflective jacket turns into new fashion

Piaf is back with colors. The shrillness is not yours. Their models are capable of staggering with amazing "abilities". There are, for example, reflective jackets with sewn-on "backpacks", with particularly highly reflective applications or those which have a detachable part of leather. The 27-year-old designer called "A Character's Coat" the collection, which took its beginning as an art project. There has been a lot of applause in the past few months: for example at the "Salome del Mobile" in Milan, at the "Take Festival" in Vienna or at the "Design Week" in the Federal Capital. In the course of an exhibition, their coats met the works and installations of those creative are who had inspired them to their models. She was responsible for the concept.

Piaf grew up with two brothers and their parents in Meek. An internship with Mario Schwab had led her after her training at the Modes chute to London. It matured into the idea of "A Character's Coat". Back home, she looked for ten creative people; they and their everyday life were the starting point for the collection. An example: "Supergun Applet is a light artist. It is out in all weather, works with headlights that get very hot, "the designer describes. So far, the creators had always been touring the Zwieback look, an all-rounder was now to be created, which they can also use in their free time. For a long time, Piaf has researched for this piece, and has made a smart use of materials used by the fire brigade and the military. Finally, a coat made of water-repellent, flame-retardant fabric, including highly reflective patches.

The artist Anna Payer, on the other hand, now wears a reflective vest including a sewn-on, finely padded back pocket, "because she travels a lot with the bike," the designer describes. Enormously robust models created them for Trawler; the product design studio specialized in product design in Vienna often works with wood and metal, their coats are made of denim and have details coated with rubber. "It was a real experiment," she grins.
All these coats were almost prototypes; meanwhile, they are also made for individual customers and individualized. A weather-resistant piece was wanted by a real estate broker, "because she is on the road in any weather".

"A Character's Coat" was like a starting shot for the young milked person who made herself independent in 2015. Among the coats joined blouses and trousers in flowing cuts since then. The fast-paced fashion of Piaf Bauer cannot win much. "There is already a small upheaval instead of fashioning fashion more sustainably. To create one collection after the other, I never wanted. I will continue to make small collections - with portable, rather timeless models. "
In addition, she is now working on a major contract again: in a competition of the Chamber of Commerce, she emerged as the winner and is now responsible for the hostess reflective clothing for EXPO 2017.

On the other hand, Piaf did not want to make any self-help, she now winks. "At first I was too good-natured, took many orders, which did not turn out to be true afterwards. Today, I can also say no, "the young woman, who lives with her boyfriend in a Viennese apartment, is also a studio.
