Whether the inhabitants of Patria walk to the office, the railway station or the shop, there will be no need to walk along the edge of the busy first class road. There are pavements with reflective sign in the village lying along the main road in Ostrava. The self-government of their construction is about to go, but the enormous financial difficulty is a hindrance.
The footpaths in Peter are missing, for example, Jana, who goes to one of the houses along the main road behind his son. "There is no place to go. When the car goes, you have to go to the same region to keep you from picking up. Or jump into a trench, "says the older woman.
On some stretches of the village, they allow even a seventy-kilometer speed. According to Jan, however, drivers do not obey the places where they are ordered, or the usual fifty.
"They're going here like fools. Sometimes police in reflective vest are here at the stop. But when drivers do not see their car, they do. Rosina is fascinated by the fast ride, "said Jan.
In recent years police in Patria recorded two accidents involving a pedestrian. Both became at night or in poor visibility. The management of the village is aware of the need for a pedestrian and bicycle trail and works on its preparation. "The problem is a huge financial challenge. From the elementary school to the Sabatini railway station, it is about seven kilometers of a mixed cycle path, "said Jan.
The communication manager with the village also breaks down in the view of the permission of seventy-kilometer speed. While the interest of road managers is to speed up transport, the municipality is more concerned with the safety of its inhabitants who have to walk along the road. As a first step she therefore bought and distributed reflective tapes to people.
"During the course of March all the inhabitants have been given them, from infants to the elderly," added Mayor.
