The Düsseldorf airport has extended its excursion offer with a new special tour: the children's birthday tour. The entertaining, but also instructive party with safety education always goes on Fridays from 2.30 to 4.30 pm.
At their birthday at the airport, the children between the ages of five and twelve are close to the airport day with their siblings and friends. During an apron tour, the children have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of the airport and admire the aircraft close up. The young guests experience the lively operation on the apron and on the runways. It is fascinating how the giant machines stand out from the ground. And how tiny are the people. This impressive birthday experience will surely not forget the little ones.
Child-friendly information, an airport meeting game, a lunch pack and a souvenir a special children's safety vest - all this is offered during the birthday tour. The birthday child himself also receives a corresponding gift. Before or after the guided tour, the young guests can then stop at the McDonald's restaurant or at the Airport ice cream parlor, which offers special offers especially for children's birthdays.
An average of about 600 take-offs and landings per day take place at NRW's largest airport. Up to 25,000 visitors use the opportunity to experience the happenings on the apron during the daily airport tours once a year. In addition to the normal round trips, the airport also offers special photo tours for large and small airport fans with reflective vest.
