150 big and small helpers participate

From the Sidewinder they streamed into their designated collection districts on Saturday morning - equipped with garbage bags, tongs, reflective vests, and gloves. Around 150 small and large helpers took part in the third edition of "Boardinghouse dressing up".

For the third time on Saturday morning as part of the campaign "Boardinghouse cleans himself out" numerous volunteers for the cleanliness of the city in use. Just in time at 9 o'clock, the approximately 150 helpers arrived at the Sidewinder, where the Clean-Team Boardinghouse and its organizer Marcus Hickman were ready with the necessary equipment. Tongs, garbage bags, gloves and reflective vests with reflective tapes found their way into the hands of the participants, who then set out in small groups and equipped with a map of their area of operation.

Peter, however, meant it well with the helpers: Despite the bad weather forecast, it remained dry. The big rain came only in the afternoon when the garbage collectors had long since returned from their missions. In addition to many private individuals, the Christian community "God's Word", the CDU, the Greens, and the Boardinghouse Scout grabbing tongs took part in the hand. In addition, numerous sponsors from the local economy and the city helped implement the campaign. In the days before the big spring cleaning the St., Antonius-Gymnasium and the secondary school had already freed the city from garbage with more than 100 pupils each. Since last year, the fishing club Boardinghouse also coordinated its environmental day with the Clean team and so many members of the club were in action in and around the waters of Stevedore on Saturday. "The coordination works one hundred percent. That's great, "said Youth Manager Michael Meyer confidently.

How many helpers have already been recorded became clear from the very beginning on Saturday: Without many questions, the groups immediately got to work. "I think that's a nice action. It clears up together and later can sit together nicely, "said Lars Frenchman of the Boardinghouse Greens. Alkaloids Schnitzel from the Boardinghouse CDU was in action along the Valve. "We have such a beautiful town and I want it to be clean and to stay," said the county council member. The filled sacks were collected by Heinlein Steepen from the city's green space office and taken to two containers on the Sidewinder, which could be filled until the end of the campaign. After consulting with the teams, Marcus Hickman knew where this year the "garbage hot-spots" lay: "The Straightjacket and the B58 from the Desperateness bridge to the roundabout at McDonald's."
