Different countries have different rules but safety vest

Even abroad, ignorance does not prevent punishment. If you travel by car, you should know the rules on the spot. Warning lights, safety vest, cameras or radar detectors in the car, fines - some of the regulations differ significantly from those in the country. And even those who have been caught in traffic congestion can often save money there: for example, with fast payment, there are discounts.

Fines
Holidaymakers who violate traffic rules abroad are threatened with higher fines in many countries than with us. Some countries offer discounts for faster payment. In Spain, for example, only 50 percent of the fine is due if the driver pays within 20 days.
No points
Since October 2010, unpaid fines from other EU countries can be executed in Germany. This applies, however, only to monetary penalties, not to driving bans or driving license trains. Anyone who has flown abroad because he has driven too fast will not get points in Flensburg. Often the foreign police in reflective jacket collect directly on the spot. Who does not pay, must expect that his car is confiscated or shut down.

Caution, camera
More and more drivers have a mini video camera on the dashboard or the windshield, which records everything during the journey. In the case of an accident, many users hope that this will lead to better results. The use of mini cameras is prohibited in Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria and Portugal.

Too fast driving
The use of radar warning devices, which inform drivers about the locations, is forbidden in Germany. The same applies to France, the Netherlands, Belgium and Austria. Some countries are even stricter. In Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and the Czech Republic it is prohibited to carry such devices.

From alcohol testers to warning vests
In many EU countries, special rules apply which drivers should have on board. In France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria and from 1 July also in Germany belongs a warning reflective vest into the car. In France, drivers have to use an unused alcohol quick-tester. In some countries driving with light is mandatory during the day.
