Spring cleaning opened

In Stockhausen is cleaned up again! Lord Mayor Daniel Cochran, Sabine Lauren and representatives of the environmental protection department will officially open the big spring cleaning in 2019 on Thursday, March 28, at 4 pm in front of the district office Branchlike, Stretchmarks 97. Already on Saturday cleared the interested community Christendom in their district.

"In all our surveys, we have jointly identified cleanliness as one of the most important topics in our urban society," says Daniel Cochran. "Our spring cleaning is once again a good opportunity to bring this topic to the fore, which may not have been so busy."

Three-dimensional picture
For the kick-off event, the municipal waste consultancy has planned a special highlight, which should focus on the topic of "littering" in particular. ("Littering" stands for "carelessly thrown away garbage in public space", "shout" or "garbage"). This time on the market street, there will be no plastering - as usual - but from early in the morning an artist will paint a three-dimensional picture on the topic of "littering" on the floor at the level of the district office. As motive planned are a Coffee to Go cup and cigarette tilting.

The artist receives support from the municipal waste consultancy and drama teacher Patrick Restroom, who will be there as a "walking coffee mug". In addition, there will be a so-called Coffee Bike on site serving free coffee in reusable coffee-to-go cups.

RWO actively involved
At the same time, the first large cleaning campaign with the youth teams of Rot Weiss Stockhausen takes place around the RWO stadium on Industrialize. The young footballers have been selected this year as an advertising medium for the spring cleaning. On large billboards, the Blight boxes, on the advertising pillars and on the information flyer, which was distributed to every household, the athletes stir the drum so that as many people as possible participate in the spring cleaning.

Particularly praiseworthy: the club RWO has not only written the sports education on the flag, but it is important to him that all youth players participate in such an action to keep their own city clean.

Under the motto "Respect, who keeps it clean", the now 16th Tannhauser spring cleaning is heralded. In the period from March 30 to April 6, all citizens are again called to clean their living environment, a playground, a nearby meadow, a parking lot, a football field or another area of their choice and thus actively for more To use cleanliness in our city.

Support from donors
In Stockhausen, it is a good tradition that spring cleaning is supported by donors, who support a social project at the same time. The donated money will benefit the Tannhauser Falafel this year. Donations in kind, such as tickets to the Sea-life, tree2tree, Lego Land, the Gasometer or movie tickets will be raffled off among all participants.

If required, the business enterprises Stockhausen Gm provide safety vests, reflective tapes, pliers, gloves and garbage bags and then collect the waste again. Incidentally, more than 5,500 people participated in the spring cleaning last year, with approx. 22 tons of garbage were collected. "We hope that there are even more volunteers this year who are committed to a clean Stockhausen. Maybe one or the other can be animated by the action to participate, "said the Deputy Sabine Lauren.
