Cycling safety clothes for preventing traffic accidents

The Spanish clothing brand specializing in premium cycling equipment El Maze, with roots in Toledo in Santa Cruz de la Zara, has launched a new collection of safety clothing under the theme Respect focused on preventing traffic accidents and awareness of cyclists and drivers of Need for mutual respect. The fact is that this project is being carried out at a time when there is a considerable increase in the number of road riders.

According to their promoters, the range, consisting of jersey, culottes, cap, gloves, socks and waistcoat aims, without renouncing the design, to remind all the road users the "priceless value of respect", at a time when Traffic accidents "are multiplying their notoriety worldwide" with celebrities as famous as GP motorcycle champion Nicky Hayden or the winner of a Gyro Michele Scarping.

50% of the profits from the sales of this equipment will go to the Stop Accidents Association, a non-profit organization founded by relatives and friends of victims of traffic accidents. The NGO will allocate these funds to the organization of bike and road education workshops in various schools in the Spanish geography.

"The road education is not only essential, but our best tool to avoid traffic accidents in the future. In our workshops, we encourage the use of bicycles as a means of transport and in the future we can make responsible use of them on the streets of the city, "says Ana Novella, president of Stop Accidents.

An icon that symbolizes respect
The #Respect range combines fluorine and reflective elements with an increasingly shared identity between cyclists and drivers: a large arrow that refers to the meter and a half of distance that should leave the cars when overtaking the bikes. "It is not so much a reflective element as an icon that symbolizes respect, doing things right. More than a demand is a feeling of pride, to know that you are on the side of the good, those who follow the rules and enjoy their passion, "said Gonzalo, spokesman for El Maze.

"That's why," he adds, "we are proud to collaborate with Stop Accidents, an NGO that has been struggling to reduce all kinds of accidents. It has done a very good job, but all help is small and we want to play our part to fight against this great scourge of society: the traffic accidents. "The sets are designed for the practice of road cycling and MTB with high temperatures, with last generation reflective fabric, tight sleeves, breathable sides and non-slip rubber on the bottom.

El Maze store comes from the blog El Tie del Maze that several cycling lovers created years ago to tell their adventures, talk about this sport and share their passion. That's why they took the technical clothing line, tested and high quality.
