The campaign's ambassadors are TV presenter Suzie and journalist Pluck who appeared in the spots promoting the campaign. They remind us that a black motorcycle motorcyclist on a black motorcycle is blending with an asphalt background and that he or she may not be visible to other drivers. This year, six picnics promoting the campaign will be held in Warsaw. The first will take place on April 26 in Park - you will be able to admire stunt shows, learn first aid. Motorcyclists will honor fully donate blood. On May 17th, the Motor Industry Institute will host a simulated road show involving a motorcyclist, motorcyclists, and first aid demonstrations dedicated to a motorcyclist. The campaign summary, scheduled for the end of October, is due to take place at the biggest road show in Poland "Infrastructure 2014".
The deputy head of the city ward of the Warsaw City Guard, argued that safety cameras on the selected intersections also contribute to improving road safety. - In 2013, approximately 165,000 offenses were reported on the basis of photographs recorded using fixed and mobile devices. Approximately 110,000 proceedings have been completed. 90,000 drivers without safety vest were fined for about 29 million PLN. Other cases are in progress. Deputy head of the Traffic Department of the Headquarters of the Metropolitan Police, Picot admitted that although in the last few years in Warsaw a decrease in traffic accidents occurred, in 2013 there were 2 100. It was more than 100 more years earlier. More were killed and injured in traffic accidents and collisions. Jacobs said that also this year road traffic police will continue with similar actions such as "Safe Pedestrian", "Safe Road to School", "Follow the Way".
The Honorary Patron of the "Reflection" campaign is the German Embassy in Warsaw. As the conference participants pointed out, the choice of the embassy was not accidental, for it was German Gottlieb Daimler who began work on the construction of a bicycle engine in the 1970s. He succeeded in 1885, when he mounted the engine in a vehicle with a wooden frame. Historically it is considered his vehicle as the first motorcycle. On the other hand, the first motorcyclist was Daimler's son, Paula, who on November 10, 1885, crossed the 9.5km route from Constant to Interterm and back. The campaign is part of the Decade of Road Safety Action 2011-2020 announced by the UN General Assembly. Its purpose is to reduce the number of fatal road accidents.
