Winter ice beckons
avid fishermen. They can't wait to drill a hole and catch a fish. However, ice
is not the only threat. Trying to warm up, amateur anglers sometimes get burned
when using gas equipment, and sometimes they are poisoned to death by carbon monoxide
in a tent, as happened recently on Lake Uelgi in the Kunashak region.
Rescuers remind
fishermen of the rules for safe winter fishing. Going for a catch, you need to
take with you a fully charged mobile phone and a flashlight, a reflective vest, 2-3 hand flares, a compass. It is better
to go fishing not alone, but with a friend who has been to this reservoir more
than once and knows the area well. But it is better not to take children with
you on a fishing trip. It's also best to stay close to the main group of
fishermen on the ice. Before using gas heating equipment, it is important to
ensure that it is working properly, and you also need to regularly ventilate
the tent.
If the weather or
health has worsened, it is important to immediately leave the pond or call for
help by phone 112. If you happen to get lost, it is more correct to stay on the
ice, not to climb into the reeds.
