A reflective 2.0 for helmet in case of accident

The startup Simply Safing introduces a 2.0 reflective tape for two-wheeled helmets. The system runs on Android and IOS. Objective, to transmit the vital information in the event of an accident thanks to the NFC technology.

This system could improve survival in the event of an accident. Founded in February 2018 in Paris, the startup Simply Safing markets an intelligent reflective tape. Regulator 2.0 clings to the two-wheel-drive user's helmet, reports Moto Service.

A device at 29.99 Euros each
Simply Safing aims to put all the vital information of accident victims within reach of a Smartphone. The reflective connected work with an NFC chip. To retrieve the information, simply approach a laptop in Android or use the free NFC-Reader IOS application. The system provides first and last names, blood type, allergies, medical history, organ donor status and the name of a loved one to contact.

Reflective tape 2.0 costs 29.99 Euros each. On the website of the startup, the device exists in five different colors (white, orange, red, yellow, black). "Every person with a Smartphone is a potential rescuer," says the brand. The user can order it online to be delivered at home. In the Paris region, the buyer can also come to withdraw his pack in one of the ten physical sales points of the brand.

Mandatory reflective tape
The system works without a subscription for the rescuer and the person rescued. Simply Safing makes bikers feel safer. What to ride with serenity. As a reminder, reflective materials on the helmet remain mandatory for driving a two-wheeled or a three-wheeled. According to the official website, a helmet must have "4 retro-reflective stickers glued symmetrically: one front, one behind, one on each side".

Regulatory helmets are approved devices that meet European standards. "It is strongly discouraged to customize your helmet (paint or others which made of reflective heat transfer vinyl). Only the reflective strips have their place on it," recalls Simply Safing. Offenders are liable to a fine of 135 Euros and the loss of three points on their driving license. A good reason to equip yourself by the rules of art!
