For the 2nd year, the town organizes a cleanliness action this Saturday, to pick up garbage on public roads.

Make your commune shine! It is the participative operation that launches, for the second time.

During a day, this Saturday, the population is called to collect garbage on the public space, in collaboration with the municipal technical services. For this "Action my own commune", citizens, equipped with a yellow safety vest and walking shoes, will have to go to the square outside the town hall at 9am.

"The more we will be, the more areas will be treated," says the municipality. A collection that will be followed by a friendly moment around a pot. And an integrated novelty this year: the price of the unusual discovery! Whoever picks up the most unusual waste will win the "my own commune" kit.

Rules for the safety of your child

As the parents are the adults most responsible for the safety of children, the Sibiu policemen recommend them at the beginning of the school year to take into account the following tips:

Set the child a safe and secure way to school, from which he will not turn away;

Teach him the basic rules for road traffic: to run only on the sidewalk, and in his absence to run on the left side of the road; to cross the green traffic lights only, and in the absence of traffic light, ensure a good left-right before crossing the pedestrian crossing; to know the meaning of light signals and road signs;

Explain that on their way to school, they do not have to run or descend from the sidewalk on the road;

When transporting children in the car, use them with the seat belt. Carry it too, the power of the example is the easiest and most effective education;

Encourage them not to respond to suggestions from strangers who offer them transportation by car or various products;

When riding a bicycle, use a protective helmet and reflective strips; remind him to cross the road beside the bicycle on the pedestrian crossing;

Giant traffic jams on the beltway

However, the commentators are not in agreement with the evaluation of this initiative. Some emphasize its ecological aspect. Others consider it a political marketing - a form of struggle between socialists - supporters of limiting vehicle traffic - and a right wing that opposes it.

The result of today's action were gigantic traffic jam that formed on the Paris beltway and on motorways that run close to the city.

An 88-year-old pedestrian died in accident

A person has died this morning in the municipality of Monteverdi to be hit by a tourist.
